meet your paediatric dietitian

Vandna Patel (BSc, MSc, PgDip)
Registered Dietitian | Paediatric Nutrition Specialist

Hello, I’m Vandna, a Registered Dietitian specialising in paediatric nutrition and the founder of VP Dietitian. Alongside my work in the NHS, where I focus on paediatric gastroenterology and nutrition support, I provide specialist nutrition support to infants, children and families through VP Dietitian. I believe every family deserves accessible, expert nutrition advice that fits into real life.

My clinical experience includes supporting infants, toddlers, children and young people with a wide range of nutrition and feeding concerns — from weaning on to solids and fussy eating to growth concerns, allergies, and complex nutritional needs.

My aim is simple: to help families feel more at ease around food, reduce mealtime stress, and support children to grow, thrive and enjoy eating.

I know that feeding your child can sometimes feel stressful, confusing, or overwhelming. My role is to help you feel informed, reassured and supported.

Whether you’re worried that your child is not eating enough, struggling with fussy eating, unsure about weaning, or concerned about their growth, it can be difficult to know what advice to trust.

As a paediatric dietitian, I combine evidence-based nutrition advice with a practical, family-centred approach. I understand that every child is different, and I work with families to find realistic solutions that fit into everyday life.

There is no judgement, no pressure, and no “one-size-fits-all” approach — every family’s journey is different.

My approach

As a Registered Dietitian, I use the latest scientific evidence alongside my clinical experience to provide personalised nutrition support.

My approach focuses on:

✓ Understanding your child’s individual needs
✓ Supporting healthy growth and development
✓ Making mealtimes calmer and more positive
✓ Providing practical strategies that work for your family
✓ Helping parents feel informed and empowered in their decisions

Nutrition advice should never be one-size-fits-all. Together, we will create a plan that considers your child, your family routine, and your goals.

My promise to families

I want every family I work with to feel listened to, supported and empowered.

My goal is not simply to tell you what your child should eat. It is to help you understand your child’s nutritional needs and give you the knowledge and tools to support them long after our sessions together.
